Set within newly landscaped grounds, this project introduces a vibrant garden retreat comprising a heated outdoor pool, a bespoke circular sauna and a collection of individually designed poolside bedrooms.

Conceived as a bold counterpoint to conventional hospitality interiors, each bedroom was uniquely designed using expressive fabrics and wallpapers, many from Designers Guild, creating fresh, bright and characterful spaces that ensure every stay feels different.

Layered planting and an integrated architectural lighting scheme transform the pool gardens at dusk, combining intuitive wayfinding with subtle accent lighting to showcase the landscape and enhance the guest experience.

The result is an immersive, design-led retreat, confident in colour, precise in detail and unapologetically individual.

Together, the spa, pool and garden bedrooms create a layered guest experience: vibrant interiors, landscaped tranquillity and a strong sense of individuality throughout.Every element from bespoke joinery to lighting design was approached with the same intention: to create a destination that feels joyful, memorable and distinctly different.Beyond the main building, the experience unfolds into a secluded garden retreat where water, planting and colour combine to create a vibrant yet restorative escape.

At its heart sits the outdoor pool, framed by layered landscaping and anchored by a handcrafted bespoke circular sauna. Sculptural and quietly dramatic, the sauna was designed as both a wellness sanctuary and a focal architectural statement. Inside, warm timber envelops guests in a cocooning calm; outside, its curved form brings softness and character to the pool terrace. The surrounding garden was designed to feel immersive and considered. By day, planting provides texture and movement. By evening, a carefully orchestrated lighting scheme transforms the space entirely — subtle wayfinding guides guests through the landscape while accent lighting reveals foliage, architectural forms and shimmering reflections across the water. The atmosphere becomes intimate, inviting and quietly luxurious.

Individually Designed Poolside Bedrooms

Set within the grounds, the collection of poolside bedrooms offers a joyful contrast to the serenity of the spa. The client’s vision was clear: fresh, bright and bold , with no neutral repetition. Each room needed to feel distinct, memorable and full of personality. Every bedroom was therefore individually designed, ensuring returning guests encounter a new experience each time they stay. Many of the schemes draw on vibrant wallpapers and textiles from Designers Guild, chosen for their expressive colour palettes and confident pattern. Layered fabrics, statement headboards and tailored upholstery create rooms that feel lively yet sophisticated. While unified by craftsmanship and attention to detail, no two interiors are the same, each has its own mood, rhythm and character.

Accessible Design, Beautifully Resolved

Inclusivity was integral to the project. The accessible bedroom was designed with careful spatial planning and thoughtful detailing to ensure comfort, dignity and ease of movement without compromising on impact. The same bold aesthetic language flows through the space, proving that accessible design can be every bit as expressive and considered as any other room.
