A project to restore four rooms over three floors which had been badly affected by flood damage. Assessments were made and a plan created to sympathetically restore each of the rooms. The sitting room was the focus with a brief to create a relaxing and tranquil room using a natural and light colour palette. The client wanted to break from the dark oak main reception area; our instruction to create a contemporary room to retreat to at the end of the day.
The beautiful embroidered fabric by Hodsoll & McKenzie injects natural glamour with its large trellis patterning. A media cabinet was designed to house the AV equipment and radiators were concealed in smart cabinets which flank the fireplace. The bold geometric patterning of the footstool and textured fabric selections add visual interest to the design.
An elegant limestone fireplace design compliments the styling of the bespoke cabinetry. Walnut leather was selected for the studded fire fender. The fluted glass chandelier reminiscent of old fashioned perfume bottles is topped with jade shades, chosen to match in with the two green mosaic occasional chairs.
