C+S were brought in to take over project management of the conversion of the wing of a country mansion house from residential to commercial. The alterations included creating boutique rooms each with their own style. A drawing room, dining room and commercial kitchen. The plans required a sensitive approach due to the buildings Grade II Listed status and sympathetic styling.
The scope of works for this project grew from C+S’original commission of interiors furnishings to full project management. A flexible approach was required to work around a part installed scheme to bring it back in line with the client’s vision of creating boutique accommodation. A tricky project of ensuring a high end look was achieved within a realistic budget and time frame for a start up business.
Services included liaison with the local conservation officer, bathroom design, space planning and interior design, branding and business support.
Having had a false start to the refurbishment, C+S were brought in to provide an overview and design proposal to create boutique accommodation within the wing of a Grade II listed country house. Working around a part installed scheme C+S advised on the most appropriate use of space to maximise income generation whilst working to ensure the budget remained sensible as the client ventured for the first time into hospitality.
Five individually designed en-suite bedrooms were created with sympathetic styling and a relaxing colour palette to reflect the country retreat. Following the project C+S were commissioned to advise on further planning applications to convert other buildings and were instrumental in obtaining European funding to assist the growing business.
